The book behind it
Fourth Quarter Mindset by Naseer Rana
The Joy of Living a Happier Life. A practical, warm guide to the last quarter of life, by someone who turned a systems engineer's eye on his own happiness.

About Naseer
A careful, data-minded optimist.
Naseer Rana is a systems engineer by training who spent much of his career at the World Bank. In the fourth quarter of his own life he did what engineers do: he looked for the pattern. What actually made his days good? He kept the notes, found the answers, and wrote the book.
He is President of Boosting Hope, Inc., a non-profit. All income from the book and from the Companion goes to it.
His voice is in the Companion from day one: a short welcome video, his own happiness list as an example, and the book itself, which your AI companion answers from by chapter.
“Never panic, there is always a solution to the problem.”
From the book
Four ideas the Companion is built on.
Chapter 11
The happiness journal
Write down what makes you happy for two months, then look for the patterns and write your own Happiness Framework. The Companion does this with you.
Chapter 13
The Three Ws
Well-being (lifestyle, diet, connections), Wealth (income, expenses, reserve) and Worth (purpose, meaning, legacy). Your plan at the end is sorted by them.
Chapter 12
The Happiness Index
Happiness = Reality ÷ Expectations. A simple way to see why some days feel better than they look on paper.
Chapter 9
The memory necklace
A string of the moments worth keeping. In the Companion, one bead a week, with a photo if you like.

Do I need the book?
No. But it is a lovely companion to the Companion.
The journal explains everything it needs as you go. If you want to go deeper, ask your companion about any chapter, or read the book itself.
The reveal is waiting
The joy is in the journey.
Two months. One small moment a day. A reveal you will want to print and keep.
